MemoryBabe is a video studies project on my father George Miramontes. The project explores the relationship between memory and fiction. These studies are fragments for a larger documentary project that captures the life and times of my father in the San Diego/Tijuana metropolitan area.

The audio is from an album entitled Heroin by Mathieu, Stephan and Ehlers, and Ekkehard. The first section is a track entitled Blue Baby 2, and the third section is a track entitled Turkey Song.
MemoryBabe Study No.8 features juxtaposing images of my father, my two week old son Lucian, and myself as a child. This version of the study is without sound.
Study No.9A is a walk down the street of the National City neighborhood that my father grew up. Music is 2 songs by Harold Budd and Brian Eno from Pavilion of Dreams.
MemoryBabe No.10 (Wave The Ocean) is a documentation of my father, George Miramontes, personally experiencing my MFA first year review. These studies are fragments for a larger documentary project that captures of the life and times of my father in the San Diego/Tijuana metropolitan area. This studies title comes from an old folk song called 'Wave the Ocean, Wave the sea.'
